The MDM Method.

The MDM Method is our proven mediation approach, developed through years of experience helping families resolve divorce with less conflict, less time, and less expense. It is built around two defining elements: an interdisciplinary team and an emotionally regulated process.

An Interdisciplinary Team, Working Together

Divorce involves legal decisions, financial decisions, and emotional dynamics.

Many divorces rely on a single professional to manage all three. The MDM Method does not. We use an interdisciplinary team made up of a Lead Mediator, an Attorney Neutral, and a Financial Neutral, each focused on a distinct part of the process. Together, they work as a coordinated team to support clearer decisions and reduce unnecessary conflict.

LEAD MEDIATOR

The Lead Mediator is a trained mental health professional who oversees the mediation process.

They manage emotional intensity, guide productive conversations, and help keep discussions respectful and focused. By supporting emotional regulation and communication, the Lead Mediator helps couples move through difficult decisions without escalation and toward mutually workable solutions.

ATTORNEY NEUTRAL

The Attorney Neutral is a licensed family law attorney who provides legal guidance to both parties.

They explain legal options, ensure agreements are clear and enforceable, and prepare documents for court approval without advocating for either side. This allows legal decisions to be made with confidence, transparency, and shared understanding.

FINANCIAL NEUTRAL

The Financial Neutral is a financial professional who provides unbiased financial analysis and planning.

They help couples understand assets, income, support, and long term financial implications so decisions are informed and realistic. This role reduces uncertainty and conflict around money by grounding discussions in clear financial information.

An Emotionally Regulated Process

The MDM Method is intentionally emotionally regulated. This means emotional intensity is acknowledged, managed, and guided so it does not derail decision making.

Your Lead Mediator is a trained mental health professional who monitors the emotional temperature of the room, slows conversations when needed, and helps both people stay engaged without escalation or shutdown.

This allows difficult topics to be addressed directly, respectfully, and without conversations breaking down.

Benefits of The MDM Method
